It’s not just one color – it’s a Macaron palette of color from Pistachio green and dusty blue to a pastel peach. Just like staring at the shop window of a patisserie, these meringue colors are of a soft, feminine composition. Pastel shades of pink, peach, yellow and grey create the feeling of joy and harmony.
During the Haute Couture collections in January, these colors were all over the runway especially for Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier. There was one particular color from the palette dominating slightly: green! Forget Pantone color of the year Living Coral from 2019, the greens are definitely wading into the water for 2020. Search up Water Green, Sea Spray and even Apple tones in floaty Chiffon or maybe a Peppermint Dupion? Check out Valentino Spring 2020 for some tonal inspiration.
