The densely arranged motifs are embroidered onto an exceptionally fine, sheer hexagonal mesh, providing an airy background that beautifully highlights the intricate decoration.

Prominent raised corded thread outlines, known as rebrodé, define each flower and leaf, creating a striking three-dimensional texture. The interiors of the larger floral and scrolling motifs feature intricate openwork, including mock-ladder grids and point d'esprit dots, adding further depth and visual interest.
