Top Bridal Trends for 2021

The seemingly-endless months of lockdown have led to an explosion in creativity, with the adventurous tendencies of brides and designers shining out. This means that, in 2021, the Bridal Fabrics team anticipates seeing superbly-sparkling wedding gowns, an exciting palette of colours and showstopping belts and bows all taking centre stage.

This edition of our blog showcases a selection of bang-on-trend wedding fabric to whet your appetite and get your creative juices flowing...

Risette: Ivory Embroidered Lace

Risette is a fabulously-feminine wedding dress lace that has recently been added to our online fabric shop. To create this stunning ivory lace, our designer has begun with a super-sheer ivory tulle, onto which has been embroidered a beautifully-baroque pattern. Two different sizes of sequins have then been added to create a simply magical effect.

Pabla: Ivory Embroidered Lace

Pabla is an absolutely heavenly bridal lace, emblazoned with a fabulous galaxy of stars in many different sizes. Many of these stars feature subtle sequin embellishment while the largest contain a delightfully-dainty lace design within them. Here and there, petite crescent moons further enhance the delicate beauty of this most unique of dress fabrics.

Immaculata: Pink Embroidered Lace

Also available in daring black or a classic combination of ivory and silver, Immaculata embroidered lace features a design that is at once refined and dramatic. Silver detailing, corded elements and clear sequins add exquisite embellishment.

Stardust: Polyester Organza

Similar to chiffon fabrics online but boasting more body and a heavier weight, Stardust is a versatile fabric that is perfect for creating beautiful bows. Crisp and sheer, the sumptuous fabric has a plain weave and medium yarn count, giving it a wiry feel and a high, eye-catching sheen. If you're looking for a more luxurious version of this fabric with a wider selection of colour options, check out 'Evolution' on our website.

Raquel: Crystal Dress Trim

Petite diamantes have been arranged into a series of rectangles to create Raquel, giving the gorgeous dress trim a clean geometric appearance that makes it ideal as a belt. Silver filigree thread has been used to add extra sparkle and the trim is based on ivory tulle to allow for easy attachment to a bridal gown.
