Hot Bridal Trend #2: High Necklines
With our fingers firmly on the pulse of bridal couture fashion, the Bridal Fabrics team are the first to bring news of emerging trends to our customers. At the recent Bridal Fashion Week, one of the distinct trends we noticed was for wedding gowns featuring a high neck, often gloriously embellished to become a focal point of the entire outfit.
Here we look at three of our favorite wedding dress embellishments for use at the neckline of a wedding gown...
Crystal Neckline Embroidery: Umbriel
Umbriel was the name of a mischievous sprite in a poem by Alexander Pope and was also used to name one of the moons of Uranus. It's therefore the ideal name for this delightful applique, which is mystical, playful and infinitely engaging. The complex patterns form a united whole, an impeccable harmony of perfect pearls, beautiful beads and dazzling diamantes.
Crystal Neckline Embroidery: Radiant
Beads and pearls are sewn together in clean, straight lines. These pieces are then cleverly arranged to form a curve that is designed to be worn at the neckline of a wedding gown. Radiant crystal embroidery is undeniably striking and eyecatching.
Crystal Embroidery: Cupid
Cupid was the god of attraction in ancient mythology and so we have given his name to this superbly attractive piece. A fine tulle background, cut into an elongated V shape, serves as a base onto which the designer has sewed pearls, diamantes and beads with riotous abandon.
