One of Platinum Bridal Fabrics' all-time favourite laces, Alexandra, was used in the creation of a beautiful evening gown which wowed the paparazzi when worn by model and presenter Lisa Snowdon at the Elle Style Awards.
Lisa Snowdon is well-known from her extensive catwalk and television appearances. At the age of 19 while dancing in a London nightclub, Lisa was spotted by an agent from world-famous Premier Model Management and quickly became one of the top fashion models in the UK. She has graced the covers of many high-end magazines such as Marie Claire and Vogue whilst appearing in adverts for Lynx deodorant, Dove soap, Neutrogena shampoo and Mercedes-Benz automobiles. Lisa hosted reality TV show 'Britain's Next Top Model' between 2006 and 2009 before moving on to be a fashion model for Marks and Spencer and a lingerie model for beauty company Avon. Most recently, Lisa appeared on the BBC television series 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

Alexandra black lace is a heavily corded and beaded black lace, layered onto the finest tulle ground. The design features pretty floral motifs, finely corded with diamantes, beads and sequins. Both borders of the lace, which is also available in ivory and other colours, have asymmetrical scalloped edges that vary in width to give an attractive effect.
