When it comes to beauty pageants, they don't come much bigger than Miss Universe: each year, the show is broadcast to no less than 190 countries around the world and watched by at least half a billion people. The last contest happened in December 2018 and Bridal Fabrics were extremely proud and excited to see Miss Denmark wearing a stunning, dramatic outfit created using lace fabric from our collection.
The 67th edition of Miss Universe was held at the IMPACT Arena, a sumptuous location close to Bangkok in Thailand. From the record breaking 94 contestants who entered the event, Catriona Gray (Miss Philippines) was declared the winner and received the coveted Miss Universe crown from last year's winner Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters (Miss South Africa).
Anyone with an interest in fashion had their eyes firmly fixed on the unique, exciting and creative outfits worn by the contestants. One of the most flamboyant and decadent creations was worn by Helena Heuser ( Miss Denmark) and we can proudly reveal that it was designed using lace fabric from our very own collection here at Bridal Fabrics.
The theme of Miss Denmark's outfit, designed by Julie S Graff, was 'Snow Queen' and featured a dramatic cape created using Nirvana glitter lace.
