Bride Style 2019
We thought we knew the standard silhouettes in bridal: ballgown, mermaid, column… and so on, what we didn’t bargain on is the emergence of the jumpsuit as a continuing trend.
Be it wide legged (10 out of 10 for Viktor and Rolf’s version teemed with a statement bow), slender and sleek and bursting with beads (a La Galia Lahav), or satin trousers fronting a lace open skirt, this trend just keeps growing.
The racy version tends to be a climbing lace on a nude tulle as Ines Di Santo demonstrated – Spandex control undies at the ready! New for summer 2019, put a pair of lacy shorts under a full tulle skirt with a central slit or full cut out! This wonderful creation below was made using our stunning ivory lace Capriana.
The jumpsuit trend is not the only one that’s maintaining a presence on the catwalk and the demand from the modern bride. 3D lace is another bridal fashion passion that is not going anywhere!
Establishing itself as a must have for any collection, this decadent whimsical and romantic look of lovely floral displays of chiffon or embroidered flowers appliquéd to the lace is teamed with sexy low backs and plunging necklines to enable a bride to feel both seductive and whimsical at the same time.
The floral fairytale look was prolific for Reem Akra and features in Berta and Caroline Herrera’s collection. This wonderful creation was made from Champagne lace Blake by Esty Style in the Ukraine.
