Christmas is nearly here and shortly after that will begin a brand new year. Bridal Fabrics look eagerly forward to moving into 2013 and continuing to bring our customers the widest selection of bridal lace and wedding dress material in the UK.
December is both a time for reflection on the events of the year and a time for planning the future. Platinum Bridal Fabrics have enjoyed an exciting and memorable 2012, with many changes happening. The year saw the opening of our first overseas sales centre in Poland, a fantastic step forward for Platinum Bridal Fabrics. Eastern Europe is rapidly becoming a hotbed of wedding gown designers and we are now working extensively with clients throughout Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Austria and Lithuania. Representatives of the company travelled to Paris twice in 2012 on our biannual sourcing trip. After attending many fabric and textile fairs as well as haute couture fashion shows, we were able to select a great many new styles of bridal lace, crystal motifs and embellishments, silks and lace applique to provide to our diverse customer base.
Also in 2012, Platinum Bridal Fabrics attended a number of shows and exhibitions, such as the White Gallery London 2012 Bridal Exhibition in May. We supply many of our products to the talented fashion designers, including Royal Couturier Stewart Parvin, whose work was featured at the exhibition. The White Gallery Bridal Exhibition is hailed as the most stylish bridal design event in the UK and many stunning creations were revealed. Another exciting event was the 2012 British Bridal Exhibition which took place in the beautiful area of Harrogate. As the largest trade-only event of this type in Europe, the exhibition provided us with an ideal chance to showcase our many products and make further international contacts.
Throughout the year we have been adding new products to our website. These products reflect the changing trends in the world of bridal fabrics, particularly the explosion in popularity of the vintage lace style. Our expert team have assisted thousands of brides to create their perfect dress either from scratch or by customising an existing garment with our fantastic selection of trims, laces, silks and appliques.
