Yet another Royal Wedding has taken place, with Princess Eugenie finally tying the knot last week. All eyes were on the princess's dress, which certainly didn't disappoint! Created by UK-based designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, the wedding gown featured a luxurious jacquard weave and signature modern feminine silhouette.
Princess Eugenie is a big fan of clothing created by the duo and has been wearing the label for several years after meeting the designers at an event focusing on the work of female artists. The brand is famed for its innovative approach to textiles and spent a great deal of time creating Eugenie's dress over a course of numerous fittings.
Eugenie's dress was developed layer by layer, starting with a corset and underskirt. When these were completed, the designers moved on to the fitted bodice, which teamed with a full pleated skirt. The neckline of the dress folded around Eugenie's shoulders, moving into a low back which draped into a flowing train of full length. Thistle, rose and ivy motifs were woven into a jacquard of cotton, silk and viscose blend, creating an attractive garland. The look was completed with a luxurious tiara.
