Chantilly Lace

Chantilly lace is a very fine and delicate lace with a soft handle. Perfectly chic, the luxuriousness and diversity of this lace fabric makes it a great couture choice and becoming for the boho bride.

The motifs are sometimes outlined in a heavier silky thread or exhibit shading effects and it normally has doubled scalloped edges and is a beautiful choice for a bride.  Browse the Chantilly lace section of the website and/or take a look at some of these delectable choices.

Traditionally, Chantilly lace used floral motifs, woven with interchangeable open and closed weave to create the famous shading effects.  Modern Chantilly's have evolved and we offer a range of both traditional floral designs and  contemporary non-floral designs for a more modernistic style.

Also known as Galloon Lace, the fabric is created from an orderly mesh of hexagons, imbuing it with extra strength and a unique handle. Gorgeously tactile, delicate and feminine, with a sweeping drape unlike that of any other wedding material, Chantilly Lace is a staple of bridal couture.

Our best selling and most famous design is the French lace featured in Kate Middleton’s dress, (called Kate by us!) and is named after the town in the north of France where the fabric was first created by the Duchesse de Longueville, a noted member of the aristocracy with a reputation for being a bit of a trendsetter!

As well as a range of Chantilly Lace in both ivory and white, we offer a range of designs in a varied color palette so if you are looking for a delicate colored lace, we have a range of coloured Chantilly lace to choose from.  We also stock hand beaded Chantilly lace, hand embellished it is a wonderfully artisan and sparkly fabric to use on a dress.  Have a look at Bryony, Philamina and Anastasia.
You can order sample on each product page and the first two samples are free.
