Platinum Bridal Fabrics offers our customers an unparalleled choice of fabrics for the use in Wedding Dresses, Mother of the Bride and Bridesmaids’’ dresses. More and more ladies are choosing to make their Bridal gown entirely to their own taste, rather than “buy off the peg” and for this they need bridal fabrics like bridal lace and brocades.
We offer a full comprehensive range of Polyester Fabrics and Silk Fabrics in which are available in varying weights and handles and we provide a large choice of colour options. Colours are so important and with our range of Jacquard Brocades, you can co-ordinate the Groom and bridesmaids together.
Within the Silk Fabrics our main range is Splendour, which is a Satin Backed Crepe. This is a wonderful fabric for dressmaking with vibrant full colours and a soft drape. It is possible to use both sides. The satin side is far glossier, whilst the reverse or crepe side is more matt but adds a subtly textured look to the dress.
Splendour is available in a range of 40+ colours. Additionally, we offer a full colour range in Debutante (silk taffeta) and Cameo (Silk Dupion). Chiffon, Georgette, Double Georgette, Organza, Crepe de Chine, Velvet and Habotai are also available in white, ivory and black, primarily with the Bride in mind. Other colours are available but not from stock, so please let us know if you need something matching.
In regards to our Polyester Fabrics we have a variety of different weights and handles in a great range of colours. Please have a look at Majestic, Supreme or Contessa, which are Duchess Satins and Princess, which is a Satin Backed Faille. Supreme is our ultimate polyester satin, which is the one I’d recommend for bridal gowns.
Majestic, Supreme and Contessa are silky smooth and wonderfully soft and luxurious feeling. Contessa is a non-snag satin, that is relatively heavy weight, whilst Majestic has much more of a drape to it. We also offer Organza, Chiffon, Velvet, Fur and Taffeta amongst other fabrics.
Once the dress is made we can still supply you with everything that you need to add those most important finishing touches. Crystal Embellishments, Laces and Appliqués are all available from use and these can make your wedding dress that extra bit special.
